The United Kingdom is committing over £1 billion ($1.3 billion) to establish a new Cyber and Electromagnetic Command aimed at enhancing its offensive cyber capabilities and building an AI-driven targeting network. This new unit will focus on digital attacks against enemy systems, support military operations, and defend critical defense infrastructure from cyber threats. The Ministry of Defence revealed that cyber incidents targeting UK military networks have surged, with more than 90,000 recorded in the past two years—most attributed to hostile state actors such as Russia and China.
