General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has secured a $580 million contract to support the security and operational readiness of U.S. Army bases. The agreement covers Integrated Base Defense Sustainment Support, ensuring that critical surveillance systems such as radars, sensors, and cameras remain fully functional.

These systems play a vital role in preventing unauthorized intrusions, countering drone threats, and mitigating cyberattacks. As part of the contract, GDIT will deploy its Cove AI Ops digital accelerator platform, which uses machine learning and analytics to assess data patterns and support smarter decision-making.

The project is set for an initial one-year term, with the option to extend for up to four more years.
