BAE Systems’ subsidiary Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) has secured an enterprise licensing agreement to supply its Digital Virtual Trainer (DVT) to the Canadian Army. The deal is designed to enhance military readiness by providing cutting-edge virtual training solutions.

The DVT wargaming platform enables Canadian troops to plan, rehearse, execute, and review missions in highly realistic digital environments. It offers flexibility for both individual first-person training and large-scale unit exercises, supporting mission rehearsal at any location worldwide.

The system is built on BISim’s proven Virtual Battlespace 4 software combined with the Blue IG image generator, ensuring immersive visuals and seamless compatibility with legacy simulators. Additionally, it integrates TerraTools Platinum, a terrain-generation tool that creates realistic practice maps using actual GIS data.

The contract covers five years, with the option for a three-year extension dedicated to sustainment and long-term support, ensuring the Canadian Army maintains access to advanced simulation training capabilities well into the next decade.
