Dronetag has been named one of 20 participants in the second cohort of the European Union Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) Business Accelerator, joining a track focused on counter-drone technologies.

As part of the European Defence Fund, EUDIS supports startups developing solutions aligned with Europe’s defense priorities. Six of the selected companies specialize in counter-unmanned aircraft systems, reflecting the growing European need for scalable drone detection solutions.

The accelerator provides technical mentorship, industry training, and opportunities to engage with defense organizations, investors, and EU institutions. Participants also attend bootcamps held alongside major European defense events and receive over 300 hours of advisory support to refine their technologies and navigate defense procurement processes.

Dronetag is the first company from the Czech Republic to join the program. In 2023, the firm also became the first Czech company selected for the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic.

The company develops passive radio-frequency detection systems that identify drones by intercepting signals transmitted by the aircraft or their control links. Because the sensors do not emit signals, they can integrate into existing infrastructure without causing electromagnetic interference and can operate alongside other monitoring systems.

Dronetag’s platforms rely on Remote ID, a standardized identification protocol required for many drones in the US and EU. The firm is also advancing capabilities to detect drones that do not transmit Remote ID signals, including tracking proprietary communication links and enhancing detection of first-person view systems through analysis of control and video data.

Future plans include using satellite navigation signals to locate drones and improving defenses against spoofing and signal manipulation.
