Spain’s Indra Group and Italy-based Leonardo have entered into a memorandum of understanding aimed at advancing cyber defense cooperation and increasing their reach in Europe, NATO member states, and other global markets.
Signed at Leonardo’s Rome headquarters by CEOs José Vicente de los Mozos and Roberto Cingolani, the accord focuses on safeguarding critical infrastructure and fostering innovation in digital security.
The alliance will combine expertise to provide sophisticated cyber solutions, targeted training, and comprehensive cyber management services for governmental and private customers, while synchronizing efforts to track and counter emerging threats.
Indra Executive Chairman Ángel Escribano said the collaboration will streamline European industrial partnerships and strengthen joint proposals. As of early 2026, both companies maintain workforces exceeding 60,000 employees, primarily based in Spain for Indra and in Italy for Leonardo.
