Estonia has contracted France and KNDS for 12 additional Caesar self-propelled 155mm howitzers, supplementing a prior order of 12 units. Deliveries are scheduled within the year, equipping the new 3rd self-propelled artillery battalion under the Estonian Division. Unlike Estonia’s tracked K9 Thunder systems, the wheeled Caesar offers rapid road mobility and deployment within 60 seconds. Capable of firing six rounds per minute at ranges exceeding 40 km, the system supports NATO-standard ammunition and features digital fire control for accelerated crew readiness.
