Hanwha Defence has rolled out three additional AS9 Huntsman self-propelled howitzers at its Geelong Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence, supporting Australia’s LAND 8116 artillery modernization program. The systems will undergo testing and live-fire validation before entering service and serving as training assets for Australian Army crews. Derived from the South Korean K9 Thunder platform, the AS9 integrates a 52-caliber 155mm gun, high mobility, and armored protection suited for modern maneuver warfare.
