Latvia has signed a contract with Finnish company Patria to supply 56 additional armored personnel carriers (APCs) worth over 60 million euros ($63.3 million). These new vehicles will be configured for command and control roles within the Latvian armed forces, with deliveries scheduled from this year through 2029. This order supplements an ongoing delivery of 200 6×6 APCs under the Common Armoured Vehicle System program—a multinational effort involving Finland, Germany, Latvia, and Sweden. The vehicles are being manufactured in Latvia under a separate 200-million-euro ($210 million) agreement finalized in 2021.
