British defense mobility specialist NP Aerospace has revealed its newly upgraded Toyota Land Cruiser 300 (LC300), engineered to meet NATO protection standards and international ballistic and blast requirements. The next-generation armored SUV is designed to deliver exceptional crew survivability while maintaining the comfort and performance of the original LC300 platform.

The new LC300 is the first armored SUV capable of withstanding a two-meter (7-foot) side blast while retaining its third-row seating, setting a fresh benchmark in passenger safety. It achieved certification after rigorous testing with realistic crash-test dummies to measure the effects of explosions and ballistic threats on occupants, validating its world-class protection standards.

Among its enhancements are a bolt-in armor system for simplified installation and modular electrical architecture that extends the platform’s operational lifespan to nearly ten years. The LC300 4×4 variant, measuring around five meters long, offers seating for up to seven passengers and can be fitted with diesel or petrol engines delivering up to 415 horsepower, coupled with a 10-speed transmission. It reaches speeds of 210 kilometers per hour and boasts a range of 1,200 kilometers.

The latest LC300 continues Toyota’s legacy of adaptable military-grade vehicles, with other Land Cruiser variants already customized for missions such as combat, field ambulance support, counter-UAS operations, and demining roles. NP Aerospace’s modernized version positions itself as a versatile, high-protection platform suitable for both defense and security operations worldwide.
