In a strategic partnership, Patria and GDELS-Santa Barbara Sistemas will jointly build and maintain ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles at Patria’s Latvian facility in Valmiera. The collaboration aligns with Patria’s five-year anniversary in Latvia and the one-year milestone of the DPL joint venture with Unitruck. This facility is already engaged in producing Patria’s 6×6 armored vehicles. The first batch of locally assembled ASCOD vehicles is anticipated by June 2026, further advancing Latvia’s defense manufacturing capabilities.
