Poland has announced plans to purchase an additional 180 K2 Black Panther tanks from South Korea, further expanding its armored forces. This follows a $5.76 billion agreement in 2022 for an initial batch of 180 tanks and over 200 K9A1 howitzers. The new contract, reportedly valued at around $6.1 billion (₩9 trillion), is expected to be finalized next month and aims to bolster Poland’s heavy ground combat capabilities.
