Romania has awarded a contract to Iveco Defence Vehicles for the delivery of a third batch of 860 tactical military trucks. The order forms part of a larger framework agreement signed in 2019 for the delivery of 2,900 high-mobility vehicles to the Romanian Armed Forces. In the first stage of the program, 942 vehicles were delivered. The second stage delivered 1,107 trucks between 2023 and 2026. The newly contracted vehicles will be delivered over the next three years. The trucks are available in several configurations including 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 logistics vehicles as well as 8×8 prime movers used for heavy transport operations. These vehicles are designed to support a wide range of military logistics tasks.
