Teledyne FLIR unveiled its Cerberus XL, a counter-drone system capable of detecting up to 500 targets at once, at the recent Association of the US Army expo in Washington, DC. The trailer-mounted counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) uses advanced imaging and long-range radar to rapidly detect and track drones. It also utilizes third-party non-kinetic effectors to disrupt enemy UAS at up to three kilometers (1.9 miles). Cerberus XL C-UAS covers the entire counter-drone kill chain—detect, track, identify, and defeat. The system’s sensors use advanced artificial intelligence for improved target identification.
