Theon International has been awarded a contract exceeding €100 million ($115 million) by a European NATO member state to supply several thousand night vision goggles, monoculars, and binoculars. The deal forms part of a broader €300 million ($344 million) multi-year framework agreement unveiled on October 17, which also covers the delivery of Theon’s latest IRIS-C thermal clip-on systems.
Under the contract, deliveries will be carried out evenly across 2026, 2027, and 2028, ensuring consistent supply and integration into the customer’s armed forces. Additional procurement rounds are expected in the near future under the same framework, including further orders for both night vision and IRIS-C thermal systems, reflecting strong demand for advanced electro-optical equipment among NATO partners.
The award follows a previous €50 million ($58.7 million) contract for next-generation IRIS-C thermal clip-on systems supplied to Germany and Belgium earlier this year. With this new deal, Theon International’s total orders for the financial year have now surpassed €370 million ($425 million), solidifying its position as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of soldier-borne night vision and thermal imaging technologies.
As of November 4, the Cyprus-based defense technology firm reported a backlog of approximately €700 million ($804 million), excluding October invoices. Additional options under negotiation are valued at around €720 million ($827 million), underscoring Theon’s robust growth trajectory and expanding footprint in Europe’s defense optics market.
