The UK Ministry of Defence has pledged £300 million ($402.4 million) to improve flight training for the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, aimed at enhancing readiness for modern combat scenarios. The deal, awarded to Ascent Flight Training in Bristol, includes the development of new infrastructure and the integration of advanced simulation and training technologies. The project will increase annual training capacity to 140 aircrew. Training will occur at RAF Cranwell and Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, with infrastructure upgrades overseen by Babcock under a separate £70 million ($93.8 million) contract.
