Ukraine has ordered 180,000 rounds of 35mm High Explosive Incendiary-Tracer (HEI-T) ammunition from Rheinmetall for its Gepard air defense systems. Funded by Germany, the contract aims to enhance Ukraine’s ability to counter airborne threats, including drones. Rheinmetall will produce the rounds at its expanded Unterlüß facility in northern Germany.
