The US Air Force is working with Parsons Corporation to install a laser-based bomb neutralization system on its Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs). This initiative is part of enhancing the service’s RADBO (Recovery of Airbase Denied by Ordnance) program, which focuses on using directed energy to eliminate unexploded ordnance. Parsons will contribute its Zeus 4 high-energy laser weapon, capable of neutralizing up to 50 different types of explosive devices, including landmines and aerial bombs.
