The US State Department has given the green light for Romania to purchase various Guided Bomb Unit-39B (GBU-39B) Small Diameter Bombs in a potential deal worth $84 million. The NATO ally seeks to acquire 400 GBU-39B SDB-I munitions and a few inert GBU-39 (T-1)/B bombs for training, all manufactured by Boeing. The package also includes training rounds, testing equipment, adapters, containers, spare parts, and support for logistics and programming.
