AeroVironment has secured a $55.3 million order to supply Switchblade loitering munitions to the US Army under its Lethal Unmanned Systems (LUS) initiative. This marks the second purchase under a five-year, $990 million contract awarded in August. The drones are designed to provide infantry units with enhanced capabilities to destroy fortified threats, including armored vehicles and tanks.
