Demonstrating sustained manufacturing momentum, L3Harris Technologies has handed over its three-millionth M734A1 mortar fuze to the US Army.
The NATO-standard fuze supports 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar shells, offering selectable airburst and impact modes for greater operational flexibility. A built-in sensing system enhances force protection, while safety mechanisms aim to curb collateral effects during engagements.
The milestone follows fiscal 2025 deliveries of roughly 500,000 units—an increase of nearly 80 percent compared to 2024. The company has also outlined plans for a $1 billion investment in its Missile Solutions subsidiary to bolster propulsion initiatives through 2026.
