The US State Department has authorized a $1.94 billion sale of air defense and long-range radar systems to Taiwan.
The package includes National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) and AN/TPS-77 and AN/TPS-78 radar units.
Both sales are still awaiting approval from the US Congress.
