L3Harris Technologies has outfitted GM Defense’s Infantry Squad Vehicle with its VAMPIRE C-UAS system, enabling rapid detection and engagement of enemy drones. The plug-and-play design allows swift integration on multiple vehicles or vessels, providing tactical units with flexible air defense capability. The GM ISV, a lightweight off-road transport capable of carrying nine soldiers and 3,200 pounds of equipment, complements the VAMPIRE system’s mobility and rapid deployment potential. Since 2023, the system has proven effective in European operations, neutralizing numerous hostile UAVs, illustrating its strategic value for mobile ground units in contested environments.
