Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program. This milestone follows the Army’s Milestone B decision in August 2024, propelling the platform into its engineering and manufacturing development phase under the direction of Bell Textron.

GE’s role involves crafting a next-generation digital backbone architecture that incorporates Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) to ensure rapid, secure, and prioritized data flows across the aircraft’s subsystems. The solution is intended to enable faster decision-making, tactical communications, and modular open systems integration for improved sustainment.

The FLRAA is central to the Army’s Future Vertical Lift strategy, seeking faster, longer-range aircraft capable of operating in highly contested environments. GE’s avionics suite will provide the foundation for modular expansion, mission customization, and adaptability to evolving threat environments in multi-domain operations.
