Spanish defense firm Indra has unveiled a cutting-edge full-mission simulator for the Boeing CH-47F Chinook helicopter, marking the first European-developed simulator of its kind for this rotorcraft version. Now active at the Spanish Army Aviation Academy’s Helicopter Simulation Center in Colmenar Viejo, the simulator leverages advanced modeling and immersive technologies to cover every phase of CH-47F crew training.
The facility offers comprehensive instruction, from initial familiarization to complex mission rehearsals, including systems management and emergency procedures. Its ability to link with other simulators allows integrated, network-based exercises that reflect real collaborative aviation operations.
