Students at Russia’s Southern Federal University have developed an advanced virtual training platform to simulate the use of anti-drone weapons and detection systems. The digital tool is designed to replicate real-world conditions in a controlled, immersive environment.

Powered by Unreal Engine, the simulator provides realistic battlefield settings where users can train with anti-drone rifles that are digitally rendered to mirror their actual counterparts in design and functionality. Trainees are placed in high-intensity scenarios to enhance tactical awareness and response time.

The platform includes realistic elements such as radio signal interference, GPS disruptions, and authentic field device behavior, allowing military personnel to hone their skills without exposure to live combat situations.

By offering a cost-effective and safe alternative to field exercises, this simulation technology aims to modernize military training and improve readiness for drone-related threats in modern warfare.
