The British Army’s Challenger 3 main battle tank program, managed by RBSL, has successfully wrapped up mobility trials. Pre-production vehicles were tested over 789 km, with assessments on vibration, noise, crew operations, and ammunition safety. Results will inform final design and production standards. Scheduled to enter service by 2030, the 148-tank fleet benefits from modular armor systems and extensive use of a European supply chain, leveraging SMEs in the West Midlands, Glasgow, Newcastle, and the Isle of Wight.
