AeroVironment (AV) is strengthening its Halo mission software platform with a significant upgrade that brings advanced training and global intelligence capabilities to military users. The latest update integrates a next-generation training suite alongside an AI-powered intelligence engine designed to gather and process data from worldwide sources, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making.

A key feature of the new upgrade is MENTOR, a fully immersive training module powered by AV’s flagship virtual reality (VR) technology. The system creates realistic, high-fidelity operational environments where soldiers can rehearse missions, sharpen tactics, and practice critical decision-making under simulated battlefield conditions.

Within the VR environment, troops can train with major tactical weapon systems such as the Stinger, Javelin, Igla, and other shoulder-launched platforms. By replacing live-fire exercises with virtual drills, MENTOR allows forces to improve readiness while reducing cost, risk, and resource consumption. The module aims to make mission rehearsal more accessible and scalable across military units.
