Turkey is boosting its naval capabilities with the integration of advanced artificial intelligence to improve real-time decision-making, command, and control during complex maritime missions. This move aims to strengthen operational readiness and response across diverse naval scenarios.
The initiative is driven by HAVELSAN’s Corporate Artificial Intelligence Platform (MAIN), designed to power the country’s Network-Enabled Data Integrated Combat Management System, known as ADVENT. This system enables enhanced situational awareness, faster processing, and streamlined coordination in naval operations.
MAIN features a custom-built language architecture trained on organization-specific data, ensuring the platform can deliver precise, context-driven support to operators. This adaptation is expected to significantly improve ADVENT’s efficiency for the Turkish Naval Forces.
Beyond domestic use, Turkey plans to make these AI enhancements available to allied navies worldwide, reinforcing defense cooperation and technology sharing among partner nations.
