Boeing has presented the first of eight P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft ordered by Germany at its Seattle production facility. Scheduled for delivery by August 2025, this aircraft is part of Berlin’s multi-phase procurement, beginning with five units in 2021 and expanding to eight with a follow-up order in 2023. The P-8As will replace Germany’s aging fleet of P-3C Orion aircraft, which are set to retire this year.
