CACI International has been awarded a five-year task order valued at $416 million to modernize and sustain critical US Navy information technology systems under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The contract strengthens the Navy’s long-term push to improve fleet readiness, maritime maintenance efficiency, and digital interoperability across surface and undersea platforms.

Issued through the SeaPort-Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) contracting vehicle, the task order directly supports the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES). This enterprise-level initiative is designed to integrate maintenance, logistics, and sustainment data for ships and submarines into a more efficient, centralized digital framework, reducing downtime and improving lifecycle management.

Under the agreement, CACI will apply Industry 4.0 principles, Agile software development, and its proprietary Agile Solution Factory methodology to migrate legacy Navy systems into a secure, cloud-first IT architecture. The modernization effort is expected to enhance data-driven decision-making, improve resource prioritization, and reduce overall maintenance and sustainment costs across the fleet.

The award reflects a broader Navy-wide emphasis on IT transformation to boost operational readiness. Recent initiatives include a $988-million C5ISR modernization contract awarded to General Dynamics Information Technology in January 2026, as well as cybersecurity and network modernization programs involving Sev1Tech and Agile Defense in late 2025. Together, these efforts highlight the Navy’s accelerating investment in resilient, scalable, and mission-ready digital infrastructure.
