Boeing has partnered with Curtiss-Wright to modernize the US Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster III fleet with modular open systems approach (MOSA)-based mission computers. The upgrade enhances processing power, digital interoperability, and long-term compatibility with future avionics modules. With more than 200 aircraft in service, the C-17 remains central to global mobility operations, capable of transporting heavy equipment and personnel across intercontinental distances.
