Denmark’s Home Guard has received two De Havilland Twin Otter short takeoff and landing aircraft under an eight-year lease to enhance its defense and police support capabilities. Configured for surveillance and patrol roles, the aircraft will assist with domestic operations and European border security missions via Frontex. They will replace two Britten-Normann Defenders that are set to retire after logging around 6,800 flight hours since 2015.
