Denmark has invested in “threat emitter” simulators to prepare its F-35A pilots for real-world battlefield conditions. These systems simulate hostile radar threats visible on the jet’s radar systems, providing immersive training scenarios. The acquisition was recommended by military leadership to strengthen pilot skills in threat identification and evasion. This training enhancement comes shortly after Denmark received four new F-35A jets in May, increasing its total inventory to 15. The country is planning for the arrival of six more aircraft by late 2026, reinforcing its shift to a fifth-generation fighter fleet.
