The UAE’s EDGE Group and French shipbuilder CMN NAVAL have formed a new joint venture named AD NAVAL in Abu Dhabi to produce naval vessels. With a backlog of orders worth €7 billion ($7.5 billion), the company will manufacture corvettes, patrol boats, high-speed interceptors, trimarans, and landing craft. The collaboration will also consider integrating EDGE’s autonomous systems, smart weaponry, and cyber technologies into ships aimed at non-NATO customers.
