Pakistan’s air force will soon take delivery of FC-31 stealth jets from China, advancing its goal of revamping air combat capabilities.
The program was first acknowledged in 2024 during the induction of other Chinese military aircraft. Sources haven’t disclosed terms, but prior leaks indicated a delivery of 30 to 40 units.
Each FC-31 is expected to carry PL-17 missiles, enabling air-to-air engagement at distances up to 400 kilometers (249 miles).
