General Dynamics NASSCO and Vard Marine have been selected to provide early design concepts for the US Navy’s Next Generation Logistics Ship program. The initiative focuses on developing medium-sized vessels to support logistics and humanitarian missions in challenging environments. A full construction contract is expected later in the decade.
