Under the AUKUS alliance, H&B Defence has been appointed to identify Australian suppliers for the submarine and aircraft carrier programs. The company will evaluate local firms specializing in advanced manufacturing sectors such as machining, forgings, composites, and plastics. Their findings will support the construction of Virginia-class nuclear submarines. A shortlist of qualified SMEs is expected within weeks, followed by in-depth technical assessments.
