India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to manufacture 12 Su-30MKI fighter jets for the Air Force. The $1.5 billion deal aims to replenish the fleet, which currently has 259 of the sanctioned 272 aircraft, and will enhance India’s defense capabilities.
