Indra Group is leading an initiative to establish Spain’s first domestic gallium nitride (GaN) technology ecosystem to strengthen the country’s defense electronics and communications capabilities. The project, known as GIGaNTE, is a nine-million-euro research program supported by Spain’s Science and Innovation Missions Program. It aims to develop high-performance electronic devices capable of operating at high frequencies for applications such as radar, electronic warfare, and advanced communications systems. The initiative brings together several industrial partners and research institutions to create a complete development chain from design and manufacturing to system validation.
