In a $9-million agreement with Israel Ministry of Defense, Gilat Satellite Networks will deliver and integrate advanced satellite communications systems for military operations.
The order, placed with Gilat’s defense arm, includes next-generation modems and complementary services forming part of its terrestrial SATCOM infrastructure. The company emphasized that the equipment is tailored for mission-critical use and engineered to maintain performance in austere and unpredictable environments.
The project is intended to enhance secure, resilient connectivity across multiple operational theaters.
The award follows a string of recent SATCOM investments by Israel’s defense establishment, including prior contracts granted to Gilat, Elbit Systems, and Orbit Communication Systems.
