Kongsberg has successfully launched its ARVAKER I microsatellite, designed to support maritime surveillance under a five-year contract with the Norwegian Armed Forces. The satellite was sent into orbit aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-13 mission from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base and established two-way communication with mission control shortly after deployment. ARVAKER I will aid in monitoring maritime zones for illegal fishing, smuggling, environmental violations, and other illicit activities.
