To enhance India’s maritime strike capabilities, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has proposed fitting the Indian Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk helicopters with its advanced Naval Strike Missile (NSM). The Navy currently operates nine of these helicopters and is expected to receive 15 more by the end of 2025. The addition of the NSM would significantly expand the Seahawks’ ability to strike enemy surface and coastal targets at long range, improving the Navy’s precision strike potential.
