Hungary has received the first three out of twelve L-39 Skyfox trainers from Aero Vodochody, delivered to Kecskemét Air Base in Bács-Kiskun County. The acquisition aligns with Hungary’s plan to improve its air force training infrastructure and expand domestic pilot training resources.
The aircraft are set to be assigned to the 101st Tactical Training Squadron, part of the nation’s Vitéz Szentgyörgyi Dezső Aviation Brigade. These jets will also be linked to the NATO Flight Training Europe framework, promoting interoperability and adaptability among allied pilot programs. Alongside the jets, Aero will supply a suite of ground support equipment, simulators, and training services.
