Leonardo UK will supply electronic warfare decoys to divert missiles from US-operated F-35 jets.

Leonardo UK has been awarded a $33 million contract by the US Navy to provide BriteCloud 218 Active Expendable Decoys for the F-35 Lightning II. This marks the first contract for the decoy’s use on the F-35, covering fiscal years 2025 to 2027.
