Saab and Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry (JS UDI) have formalized plans to cooperate on aviation and airborne surveillance projects.
The understanding, announced during a security forum in Munich, outlines joint work on aircraft systems, radar technologies, avionics, and related monitoring solutions to reinforce Ukraine’s defense sector. The agreement was signed by Anders Carp and Herman Smetanin.
JS UDI functions as a state-directed umbrella organization for more than 130 Ukrainian defense enterprises and ranks within the top tier of global arms producers. Saab is internationally recognized for its Gripen fighter jet and Carl-Gustaf system.
