As part of its naval expansion strategy, Oman’s Ministry of Defense has signed an agreement with Thailand-based shipbuilder Marsun for the acquisition of multiple vessels. The deal was formalized in Muscat by Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General of the Omani Defense Ministry. Though specific ship types were not disclosed, the new additions are expected to enhance the operational capabilities of the Royal Navy of Oman.
