The Royal Australian Air Force has received the final batch of nine F-35A Lightning II fighter jets, completing its 72-aircraft procurement that began in 2010. These jets will serve alongside existing F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers at RAAF Base Williamtown in New South Wales. The F-35As are now fully operational across three squadrons and a training unit in both the Northern Territory and New South Wales.
