Leonardo has secured an order from Saudi Arabia for four C-27J Maritime Patrol Aircraft, marking the first procurement of the MPA variant with integrated maritime weapon capability. Deliveries to the Royal Saudi Naval Forces are expected in 2029. Based on the C-27J Spartan platform, the aircraft will conduct surveillance, search-and-rescue, transport, and anti-submarine warfare missions. Potential armaments include the Marte-ER and MU90.
