The Republic of Korea Air Force has entered into an agreement with QinetiQ to train its personnel at the Empire Test Pilots’ School in the United Kingdom. Established in the 1940s, the institution is globally recognized for its specialized training in flight testing across both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms. Under the agreement, two pilots and two engineers will participate in a six-month program covering experimental flight operations, system evaluation, and development testing. The curriculum integrates theoretical instruction with hands-on practical experience, aiming to enhance technical competence, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills. The program may also include exposure to advanced aircraft systems and opportunities to collaborate with UK and NATO personnel. This initiative reflects South Korea’s commitment to strengthening its aerospace capabilities and fostering international defense cooperation.
