The Spanish Air and Space Force has received its first A400M transport aircraft equipped with Indra’s InShield Directed Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) system. Airbus completed structural modifications to integrate the system, which uses laser-based technology to counter infrared-guided missile threats by detecting trajectories and directing counteracting beams. Operational evaluation will determine broader fleet integration.
